Passing Score on FE
Hi -
I am new to the forum but thought I would check it out. I just got my results from the FE exam I took in October and have a raw score of 122. I didn't pass. I have read other posts and also looked in the Barons and Lindeburg book. Both say somewhere between 110-120. I have called NCEES and Castle (who administered the test). Neither one could give me an answer. I will try calling again onTuesday but didn't know if anyone else had this problem and was able to find a solution. I appreciate any guidance. Thanks! |

Re:Passing Score on FE
Nobody will be able to give you an exact answer. The cut score varies and could be above 122. Obviously, you were unlucky enough to take a test with a high cutscore.

Re:Passing Score on FE
Thankyou for the information. Does anyone have any statistics on the rescore process(ie having them hand check the answer sheet). I am thinking of having them do that just to see if one or two answers were missed by the machine. Thanks again for all of your responses. Unfortunately, I don't have any idea of review classes as I haven't taken one yet.

Re:Passing Score on FE
The rescore process means they take your sheet and run it through the machine again. They don't score it by hand and they don't check your work in your book to give you partial credit.
I assume you filled all the bubbles in properly? If so, rescoring your test will not change it. |

Passing Score on FE
from the ncees website:
Hand-Score Requests Frequently Asked Questions What is hand scoring? All exam answer sheets are machine scored. Examinees who receive a failing score may request that their answer sheet be scored by hand as well. A fee of $75 is assessed by NCEES for each request. Requests must be made within 60 days of the release of scores (see page 1 for current deadlines). Why can |
